Our Top 10 Beach Destinations

Escaping to the beach is a way to let free and to give your mind peace. Travelling around the world together have definitely gave us great experiences and we want to shareourbest ones with you. Going to the beach is one of our favorite things to do when traveling and we make sure to pick the best spots in each country, so here are our top 10 beach destinations and we hope you all get to experience them one day!

10. Tampa Beach, Florida, USA

The United States have many beaches, but the Florida beaches are beautiful especially on the gulf side. You are guaranteed sandy soft beaches where the water is transparent. We recommend Clear water beach; the water is warm during the summer hours and pleasant to take a dip. This is our one of our favorite beaches in the USA with close driving proximity.

9. Miami Beach, Florida, USA

Miami Beach is not too far from the Caribbean islands, so the water is usually warm, clear along with soft white sand. We travelled to Miami FL during January, which is considered winter here in the USA, yet the weather was pleasant in the lower 80s. There is great culture surrounded in the city with a lot of great Cuban food. This would be the first beach we would come escape away to in the USA.

8. Hurghada, Egypt

Egypt is full of ancient history and it keeps getting better when you visit the city of Hurghada and relax at the beach. The beach is along the red sea and is perfect to relax on the beach and take in the view. We stayed at the Stegeinberger resort which is highly recommended. It is located right on the beach and is only a few steps away.

7. Hvar, Croatia

A place we call paradise. It is only an hour speed ferry ride from Spilt. This is a popular island where people come to party or celebrities come to getaway in their villas. We travelled there during the shoulder season and It was breathtaking. The water is a greenish blue color which is surrounded by a fortress, church, restaurants and few hotels. We stayed at the Hotel Adriana and Spa which overlooked the harbor and seaside. This is one of the best hotels there, so we highly recommend it. As you walk along the harbor there are many hidden beaches where you can relax or take a swim. This place is like heaven and so glad we chose this island to go to.

6. Greek Islands

  • Mykonos, Greece

Mykonos is an island of the country Greece. The beaches there are beautiful to relax on and get some sun in. The water is cold year-round, but many people still get in the water. The beaches don’t have much sand, but beautiful colored stones (red, black, brown etc) make it even better. Mykonos is known to be a party island so dancing on the beach and having drinks and sleeping in the cabanas is what you can expect. We went to check out Paradise Beach, which is the party central, but we were there off-season during end of April, so it was quiet.

  • Santorini, Greece

Santorini is known for its sapphire water and beautiful cliffs. They are also famous for its wineries and black sand beaches. The beaches are similar to Mykonos, but it makes it even better with the candy colored houses carved into the cliffs. You must stop on this island to relax on the beaches and take in the view all around you. We promise to return back because this was our favorite island in Greece so far.

5. Hawaii,USA

  • Maui

The beaches in Maui are all so beautiful with the clear blue water. We just had a great time stopping on the roadside and walking on beaches all-around Maui island. It truly is a dream come true and definitely a place that we want to return to in the near future.

  • Oahu

The beaches in Oahu have great variation since the North shore is known for its big waves and surfers. Also, Wakiki beach (most popular) is the best of all scenarios. The water is so transparent, and you can walk into the water and feel like you’re walking far away from the offshore. Wakiki beach is a great beach to have parties or even take a swim and get some tan. Another beach we would recommend is sunset beach since it gives the best sunset view and a view of the surfers in the background. Oahu is surrounded by beautiful beaches so don’t hesitate to stop by any beach you pass and enjoy that peace.

4. Canggu, Bali, Indonesia

Bali is one of most beautiful places we have visited in Indonesia. We really enjoyed Canggu beach in South Bali with its long stretch of shore and soft sand. The beach is vibrant with restaurants and resorts surrounding the beach. It is a great place to hang out and have a few drinks or even catch the sunset/sunrise.

3. Nusa Penida, Indonesia

This island destination from the country of Indonesia is a hidden beauty which can only be reached with a strenuous hike. The famous dinosaur shaped Kelinking beach is the most popular beach that is viewed from above. However, for the dare devils you can hike down to get the opportunity to step foot on the untouched soft sandy beach. We definitely took that risk and it was totally worth it. The hike was not easy since there is no shade when hiking so we would highly recommend going during early morning hours. This beach is amazing and never crowded since most people do not hike down, so go for it if you are comfortable or enjoy the beautiful sight from above.

2. Moorea, French Polynesia

There is always something about the clear blue water in the South Pacific islands of French Polynesia. Moorea definitely gave us a big surprise of how beautiful the beaches were and how clear the water was. We stayed at the Hilton Resort and it was just so accommodating with the beach being a few steps away. The beach had a lot to offer and stepping into the clear aqua water never gets old.

1. Bora Bora, French Polynesia

This destination in the French Polynesia is our best beach we have ever been to. The blue, green water in the lagoon areas just makes you feel like you are floating high on the clouds. We must say we have never seen such a beautiful beach and would highly recommend visiting. We stayed at the Intercontinental Thalasso Hotel which was off the private motu which offered the best views of Bora Bora. The lagoon area gives you a chance to see the mammals more closely such as sharks, sting rays and fishes. In other words, it is like you are stepping above a beautiful lit aquarium. This is a beach we definitely want to go back to in the near future.
